Population Structure and Population Pyramids (BBC News)

A population pyramid show the numberof people of a certain age. On the left side is males and on the right side there is females. The pyramid can represent a whole country, state, or just a small city. The youngest people are on the bottom of the pyramid and the older people are on the top.
