Chapter 1

Chapter 1
-There are many differences between Physical Geography and Human Geography.
-Five themes of human geography and identify the various political regions of the world


GLOBALIZATION- the increasing interconnectedness of people and places through converging processes of economic, political, and culture change.

Geography- describes the earth and explains various patterns on its surfaces.

Physical Geography- examines climates, landforms, soils, vegetation, hydrology(land)

Human Geography- explores social, economic, and political factors; demography, migration, culture(people)

Geography explores both topics (culture geography, politics, population) and regions (such as North America and Southeast Asia)

Diversity amid globalization
